This week, Jessica and I venture into the dream-scoured deserts and fractured psyche of Phantasm IV: Oblivion, though unfortunately, Brad was unable to join us for this episode.
In this entry, we also discover a touching local connection: the real Reggie Bannister actually resides right here in our mountain area of California. He is currently in hospice care, so we’re sending him chrome wishes and heartfelt thanks for the joy and grit he’s brought to this series and its fans. May he find peace and light on his final journey before heading to a reunion with the Tall Man.
Next, we’ll be discussing Phantasm: RaVager (2016), the final chapter in Don Coscarelli’s long-running fever dream, and our close-out to this year’s Halloween series, Season of the Sphere.
